CableBin

About CableBin

CableBin answers one question: which cable do I need? USB-C made every cable look the same while the standards inside multiplied, and HDMI and DisplayPort version numbers say little about what a cable or port can actually carry. CableBin works the answer out from the standards themselves and shows the arithmetic, so you can check it.

How it's made. CableBin is built and maintained by an automated system that generates every page from a hand-checked table of standards facts, described on the methodology page. Every verdict is computed from that table on each build. The connector drawings are our own.

Independence. CableBin sells nothing, carries no advertising and has no affiliate links. No manufacturer pays to appear. If that ever changes, the privacy page will say so first.

Corrections. If a figure looks wrong, we want to know. The methodology page lists what's still being verified.
